Who am I, really?

I received my undergraduate degree at University of Maryland Baltimore County with a B.S. in Psychology. From there I attended University of Maryland, School of Social Work where I earned my MSW.

I worked in a variety of settings within the mental health field, including partial hospitalization, residential treatment, school based treatment, and outpatient community mental health, before starting my own practice.

I primarily work with young adults, teens, and adolescents. My areas of expertise include; stress, anxiety, depression, ADHD, peer relationships, and life transitions. I very much enjoy working with times of rapid change and the psychological impacts that occur during these times. Watching my clients decide what they want for their future and helping them work towards those goals (be it to pass algebra or to decide on a career goal) is a process that I cherish with each of my clients. I am also an Ally of the LGBTQ+ community and I am in support of the BLM and Feminist movements.

My therapeutic style is a bit eclectic. I pull from different theories and modalities that I’ve learned about over the years that I find particularly helpful. I also work with my clients to find what the best treatment method is for them specifically as therapy is not one size fits all. My therapeutic style is also a bit more narrative and not super structured. I pull heavily from a person-centered approach, with a touch of CBT, and narrative therapy thrown in the mix as well.
